Neurodivergent Flag Raising

In recognition of Neurodivergent Month, the Belleville Public Library will host a public flag-raising ceremony on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12 p.m.

Neurodivergent Month celebrates members of the community whose brains function, learn, and process information differently than what is considered typical.

By raising the flag, the library aims to show respect for neurodiversity in all its variety. The event serves as a formal invitation for the community to acknowledge the strengths and unique perspectives of people with diverse neurological profiles, such as those with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
