Children’s Resources

The Belleville Public Library’s Children’s Room serves children and their caregivers with a welcoming space for reading, learning, and play.

Young patrons are invited to explore a wide selection of picture books, early readers, non-fiction titles, and juvenile chapter books.

Wonderbooks

The Read-Along by Playaway.

Every Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids will press play to read along with their favorite books.

There’s also more to the story with Learning Mode – exclusively on Wonderbook! After reading along, kids can switch Wonderbook into Learning Mode to keep talking about the book they’ve just read to experience:

  • Educator-Vetted Questions: Engage in open-ended, educator-vetted questions to stimulate critical thinking and comprehension.
  • ‍Parent-Child Dialogue: Foster meaningful dialogue between adults and children about the books they read, empowering critical thinking skills.
  • Literacy Skills: Enhances vocabulary development, phonics, comprehension, and more.
  • Bilingual Learning: Wonderbook Learning Mode seamlessly supports bilingual patrons by offering interactive question and answer sessions in both Spanish and English. (Available on bilingual titles.)
