Apply for a Library Card – Adult

Library cards are free for all Belleville residents.

With your library card, you can check out books, movies, and museum passes. You will also have access to online databases and the eLibrary.

Please upload a copy of your driver’s license showing your Belleville address.
If a driver’s license is unavailable, provide two forms of identification that confirm your Belleville residency.

Applicants must provide proof of residency, employment, or school attendance in Belleville.
Non-resident card fee: $35 per year.

ReBL is a reciprocal borrowing program among Essex County academic and public libraries.

To obtain a County Library Card, applicants must be Belleville residents with a Belleville library card that has no overdue fines.
Applicants must present a driver’s license or other valid identification to obtain a County Card.
