Belleville residents, 18 years or older who have library cards in good standing, may borrow passes and visit museums without having to pay an admission charge. Patrons with courtesy cards and paid cards are ineligible for reserving and/or borrowing passes.
Passes may be reserved in advance online but may also be available on a walk-in basis. Only 1 pass may be borrowed at a time. A reservation is forfeited if the pass is not picked up on the reserved day by closing time.
Passes must be picked up and returned at the main circulation desk. They may not be returned in the Library’s book drop or at another library.
Belleville Public Library loans museum passes to the following institutions:
American Museum of Natural History
New York, NY
- Cost: $10.00 per voucher
- Vouchers are available for purchase for $10.00 each at the library.
- Admission for 1 to the Museum’s permanent collection, as well as one special exhibition or show of the patron’s choice
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Brooklyn, NY
- This pass admits 2 adults and accompanying children 17 and under.
- 10% discount at the Garden Shop and BBG’s cafe.
Storm King Art Center
New Windsor, NY
- A Library Pass is valid for free admission for two adults and all children under age 18 living in the same household, per day, per Membership.
- Visitors holding a Library Pass may access the grounds during regular hours or may arrive early during Member Mornings, starting daily at 9:30am.
- Library Memberships do not grant reciprocity at other institutions, access to Member Events, or discounts on site.
- Patron must show library card with Museum Pass.
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
New York, NY
- This pass entitles 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 18 free general admission to the museum.
- Patron must show library card with Museum Pass.
- Access to the express, members-only admission line.
- This pass is good ONLY for admission during normal museum hours. Restrictions may apply.
- Pass does not include entrance to the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
Montclair Art Museum
Montclair, NJ
- Each pass admits 2 adults and any children under 18 from their household.
The Newark Museum of Art
Newark, NJ
- This pass allows free admission for 2 adults and all children under 16.
- Show the pass for a 10% discount at the Museum gift shop.
